I still remember the first wedding I ever photographed. After years of taking photos of my daughter and other family members—the earliest ones (when I was a child) snapped on a little pink Canon film camera—someone asked me to be her wedding photographer.

I agreed, albeit a little reluctantly. How could she trust me to capture the most important day of her life?

The entire wedding day, I was terrified. It was the hardest thing I had ever done, but also the most rewarding. That night when I got home, it hit me, this is what I’m supposed to be doing.

That was 16 years ago.

While I’ve ditched the pink Canon camera, my passion for photography hasn’t changed. Whether I’m capturing a wedding, annual family photos, or a personal branding shoot, I strive to make my clients feel comfortable in front of the camera with my southern accent and ability to remember every name.

From tearing up over your father-daughter dance to watching you interact with your newborn, I recognize what an honor it is to be a part of your family’s milestone moments, and my hope is that we will not only create timeless images you can look back on for years to come, but that we’ll build a genuine, lasting relationship (I’ll even make you my famous ossobuco or paella).

Get to know me

  • I would love to open a bed and breakfast in a cute little town, where I could host, entertain and cook farm-to-table meals with veggies from my garden. I love making craft cocktails and feeding people. My love of cooking and gardening came from my grandma.

  • Lost Gulch Overlook in Boulder, Sapphire Point in Dillon, and Brainard Lake in Ward are all gorgeous locations in Colorado. Charleston, South Carolina, always has a place in my heart, with its historic, pastel-colored homes. I also love shooting on the beach, even though the kids get sandy and everyone gets wet. And it’s so special when someone invites me into their home for a shoot.

  • Because I’m not from here originally, I think I have a unique appreciation for the mountains, perhaps a different perspective than people who’ve lived here their whole life. (And I say, “y’all.”)

  • My favorite way to spend a weekend is in the mountains or on the beach—I’m a nature l lover! Hiking, camping, or snowboarding. I hike for beer! White sand, blue water and sunshine with a Mezcalita in my hand! I love to cook at home and explore new restaurants. I love food!
